As we all know, we are continually confronted with different health issues as we age, but it seems that cavities in the modern world are here to stay. With all the added sugars in our foods, our habits of eating fast foods, and medications causing decreased salivary flow/protection, even our most preventative treatments pale in the face of this avalanche of dietary assaults to our teeth.
Drinking a sugary beverage with our meals is not the same as taking one with us as we travel around town to finish over several hours. Getting the refill to go - while it seems like a good idea for the pocketbook - is devastating to our teeth. Snacking between meals has a similar effect.
